ANR POPS — Polyamines in bacterial virulence
Deciphering the role of polyamines in bacterial virulence in Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus, using advanced metabolomics and integrated omics.
"DeciPhering the rOle of PolyamineS in bacterial virulence" (ANR-24-CE44-1190, €193k, 2023–2027) investigates how polyamines modulate bacterial virulence in Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus. By combining controlled modifications of polyamine biosynthetic pathways with integrated omics, the consortium aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms driving pathogenicity. The HolobiomicsLab develops advanced metabolomics for profiling and interpreting the S. aureus metabolome upon polyamine exposure.
