Thaiz Rodrigues Teixeira

Postdoctoral Fellow at HolobiomicsLab since October 2025, under a UniCA IdEx Excellence fellowship. Within the RAPID-NP framework she develops purification strategies to accelerate discovery of antimicrobial peptides encoded by marine biosynthetic gene clusters — in collaboration with Vincent Libis (INSERM · ELiS Lab, Paris).

PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (FCFRP-USP, 2016–2022) with a sandwich period at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography / UC San Diego under Hosana Debonsi and William H. Gerwick; then a postdoc at UC San Diego with Conor Caffrey on metabolomics and HTS against neglected tropical disease parasites. Brings expertise in mass spectrometry, NMR, molecular biology, and microbial cultivation.
